From here on out, this is the place that I’ll leave the daily onslaught of sweet highlights, news, notes, and any other basketball oriented crap I can find laying around the internet. I’ll drop the knowledge on some things, and other times, I’ll leave someone else’s take and let you give me your thoughts.
- Are the Suns still relevant? Shaq pulled down 13 boards as the Funs almost gave away a game that looked thoroughly one sided for the entire first half. I’m amazed that Joel Pryzbilla actually jumped to contest this shot.

- Did anyone play in the Eastern Conference last night?
- The Spurs really seem to struggle on offense. Good thing for them is they play amazing defense. I’ve had an easier time trying to breath through a dry cleaning bag than it looks like teams have scoring against them. As a quick aside – I think Manu Ginobli should be illegal. Not for any particular reason other than he looks like this

and has a generally disagreeable basketball game. I hate watching him play. It looks like soccer on a basketball court with all of his flailing. Anderson Varejao is the same way. - Baron Davis is possibly the most underrated point guard in the NBA. Doesn’t anyone remember last year when he did this to Andre Kirilenko last year in the playoffs? How does Kirilenko ever set foot on a basketball court again after something like that? He burned the Hawks last night for 35 points and 9 dimes.
- Kobe was his usual self in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers looked surprisingly lethargic and played terrible defense throughout the game but showed why they’ve become one of the favorites to win it all this year. - Boston and Detroit have started beating on each other as I write. Boston has an early lead and is looking to clinch the first playoff spot. Not quite as early as this team but impressive nonetheless.
