Eleven players played in the Golden State vs. Charlotte game. How in the hell do you get 11 players into a basketball game with any sort of rhythm? Remember JV when the coach used to make changes to the lineup wholesale? There was the A team, B team and C team. I was always on the C team. Damn coach. I digress. That’s how the Warriors look when they play 11 guys in a game. Granted a couple of them only got 1 minute of PT.
Why am I not impressed by LBJ and his 50 points? Because he scored it against the NY Knicks, that’s why. It’s interesting that people will immediately use this as some sort of argument for the King’s candidacy as MVP. I’d like to post an LeBron highlight here, but instead I’ll throw this vid at ya.
Are the Suns setting before our eyes? Shaq did his part with 18 boards. Watching the game, I noticed what it seems everyone else is noticing. The Suns don’t have a single player that can defend the perimeter. They didn’t pressure the ball once . Nothing in the backcourt. No ball pressure whatsoever. Not looking at winning many games with that type of behavior. UPDATE: Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic said it best this morning. “A half-step forward, a full step back.” The Suns looked great in the first half against a young Portland team, then flopped in the second. Came out gangbusters in the first quarter against the Nuggets, then got run over in the following three periods. Can their guards try to get in the way? Maybe even just a little?
Heat season ticket holders may get a second refund soon. Pat Riley is so guilty he wants to pay them back for the tickets they bought this season. Heat fan, it might be your lucky day. Too bad you’ve gotta sit through the rest of the season.
