In today’s basketball world, there are many dangerous players. None so dangerous though, as Kobe Bryant. I don’t profess to know the man, or any of his pitfalls as a human being. I can, however, attest to the skill with which he dominates the 94 ft. long stretch of hardwood known as a basketball court.
In the last four years, Kobe Bryant has been many things to many people. He has been the goat of the breakup of a once dominant Lakers team. Blamed for the loss of championships to come and at fault for the fall of the franchise. Kobe was the rapist. He was fighting to save his name and reputation as a human being after making a grave mistake. He was the unconscious gunner. Kobe has scored almost at will for most of his career, but never more so than the three seasons prior to this one. Kobe shredded the Toronto Raptors for 81 points in a single game. Think about that for a moment. Kobe was the nurturing leader, dragging a young team through injury riddled seasons and early round playoff losses.
So who is Kobe Bryant now? On the court, he is the master. Possessing skill that has only been awarded to one other of his type in the history of the game, and perhaps even in a class of his own, Kobe has found a plane of basketball ability that is above the others who play the game. Even at the professional level, it’s obvious that he is better than anyone on the floor with him. With a game that boasts ability at every position in any offense, Kobe can master any opponent.
The argument rages on about who is the MVP of the NBA in 2007-08. The argument is so subjective that almost any point has a counter. The question that those who vote should ask themselves is this: Who is the most dominant and important player on the court any time he puts on his high tops? The answer seems fairly obvious.
Kobe Bryant.

Kobe is worthy of the MVP this year, even though LeBron has better stats and worse teammates. The rape accusation is what has prevented him from winning the award the past few years… That and the fact the Lakers have only been above average as a team since they traded Shaq. He is undeniably the most talented player in the NBA at present, people have to start liking him again to give him an award
